You Strive to Please Him
If you’re truly living a life for Jesus, you strive to
please Him in all that you do. You think about the decisions you make based off
your commitments to Christ and your faith. If you know a decision you may make
isn’t reflecting the faith walk you’re on, you’ll steer away from it. You give
yourself to Jesus and Jesus alone and are happy when you do things that are
pleasing to Him.
Your Prayer Life Is Active
When we commit ourselves to prayer, we confess our
troubles, our longings and our praises. We lift up prayers of concern, and also
of thanksgiving. Having an active prayer life is an indicator that you’re
living your life for Christ. When you actively reach out to Him, it reflects
how meaningful God is in your everyday life. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to
pray without ceasing. Prayer doesn’t always have to be you sitting alone in a
room, with your eyes closed and your hands crossed. Prayer can happen anywhere
you are. If you’re constantly in dialogue with God, it shows that we are fully
committed to the responses and promises our Heavenly Father offers.
You Evangelize
Evangelism is the spreading of the Christian gospel by
public preaching or personal witness. It shows up in many forms for believers,
but is ultimately about truly living your life in a way that reflects Jesus.
Evangelism doesn’t require you to have your own Christian telecast, or to
memorize every verse of the Bible. It’s also not about bashing others in the
name of Christ. It’s about spreading the Gospel, and living a life that
demonstrates Christ so that others may better know Him.
You Recognize Church As The Body of Christ
Remember, church isn’t just a building. It’s a body of
believers. When you recognize the church as the body of Christ, you are also
recognizing that you are a part of the body of Christ. While finding the right
church and being around other believers is important, you don’t have to just
gather at church for fellowship. You can reflect the body of Christ anywhere,
and in everything. If you’re truly living your life for Jesus, there isn’t a
single place you’d want to not express your faith.
Committed to Christ
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us “Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has
come.” When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are freed through the
waters of baptism, our lives begin anew. When we live our lives for Jesus, our
lives are completely transformed. Want to know if you’re demonstrating a life
that reflects a strong relationship with Jesus? Here are five signs you are
committed, enthusiastic and continuing to grow in your relationship with
Christ.
