That is the
view of pundit and former Venezuela international Alejandro Moreno.
Morata joined
Chelsea from Real Madrid for a fee that could rise to £70million.
The Spaniard was
the Blues’ second-choice forward target after Lukaku, with the Belgian
rejecting them in preference to Manchester United.
However, Moreno
reckons Chelsea have come out of the transfer merry-go-round better than their
rivals.
“I said all
along that I feel Morata has a lot more to his game than Lukaku does.
“That doesn’t mean that Lukaku’s not
going to score goals for Manchester United which I have maintained all along, he
will score those.
Morata has scored six in his first seven
appearances for Chelsea including
a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Stoke on Saturday.
Lukaku has
netted eight times for United since his £75million move from Everton.
The pair are set
to be in Champions League action this week, with Chelsea visiting Atletico
Madrid and United facing a trip to Russia, with CSKA Moscow their opponents,
both on Wednesday
